   With only a few snags, a very tired Merel and Sandrine made it to Hartley Bridge, where a lovely farm owner let them put the horses and their tents in her field and shared a tea and some stories in the evening.

   During the ride they found themselves having to squeeze through fence gaps designed for humans, some of which were just too narrow for these big horses. But with the usual charm of the Irish, the people they met along the way were very helpful and told them about friends and neighbours who hold keys to the gates. That and some brave horses unafraid to trample a few garden shrubs, they covered the first 25 miles.

   Hi Merel en Sandrine,

   Wat leuk dat jullie een dergelijk tocht hebben gedaan voor het goede doel!! Hoe gaat het met jullie ? Grappig als ik zo naar Collin kijk is het net of ik Geena zie staan.

   Met mij en Geena gaat alles super ze is echt het leukste paard dat ik me ooit heb kunnen wensen. Ik zag dat slieve aughty echt super groot is geworden.

   Ik heb inmiddels een zoontje van zeven maanden , Satch,hij is voor ons totaal als een verassing met het down syndroom geboren . Gelukkig heeft hij een ijzersterke gezondheid en gaat alles super goed met hem.

   Ik heb sinds kort actief facebook en dacht ga jullie eens zoeken toen stuitte ik op de website van slieve augthy en op zo weer op jullie blog.

   Super hoop dat jullie een top reis maken.
